Cheap French Property
property listing dated 16th September 2009
The FNAIM and the Notaires body have both confirmed that prices dropped by over 9% in France over the first two quarters. This is interesting news coming at a time when the US market is bottoming out and the UK market slowing. Many independent observers in France feel that prices have still another 10% to fall and given the reticence of French Banks to lend to anyone ("we're not anglo-saxon liberals!") this looks more than likely.
Please note that you can now contact vendors by email (only in the case of agencies - you still have to ring individual vendors)
