Cheap French Property
property listing dated 1st January 2010
January sees the implementation of a series of new tax increases designed to pay for the billions Sarkozy threw at the banks and his rich industrialist friends in 2009. Local taxes and rates will rise steeply as the weight of local services is shifted from centralized state to local authorities .. and a much-hated local 'corporation tax' for small businesses is scrapped. What does this mean for home-owners in France in 2010? Higher taxes. This should push a few vendors into lowering their prices ... or put off potential buyers. We shall see.
